This would be helpful so can compare revenue YTD YoY. Using date-only for running total doesn’t allow for pivot by year
it would be great if the new date dimensions generally worked as real dimensions across the board - e.g. for filtering!

Although, by default running_total ordered by all date dimensions in your explore. You can actually use your own order by changing the formula a bit. Here you can see that I’m pivoting by year and comparing the YTD of the years by defining some ad hoc dimensions and metrics.
