Hello everyone!

Have you ever browsed through the list of items, and you have to click into three different items just to check the description? Not anymore! Now, you can view all details of your datasets and dashboards directly on the Reporting sidebar.

:sparkles: Introducing: Viewing metadata from the sidebar

We’ve supercharged the Reporting sidebar so you can get the context you need:

  • :weary: Before: You had to fully open a dashboard or dataset to find details like the description, owner, or last updated date.
  • :rocket: Now: Just hover your mouse over the item in the sidebar, and a helpful little popover instantly displays the key metadata!

[Update] Auto-generate owner field
Hi everyone :wave:
We’ve launched an update to auto-generate the owner field for the dashboard (v4.0), similar to how this field is generated in datasets and data models.
What changes:

  • From now on, new dashboards will automatically set the owner = creator. You can still change this value directly in the code whenever needed.
  • Existing dashboards won’t be affected — they’ll only show an owner if you’ve already defined one in your code.
