[Launched] Refreshed dashboard editing: cleaner toolbar, shortcuts, and smoother zoom

Building a dashboard should feel quick. We refreshed the dashboard editor so you spend less time looking for tools and more time building.

What’s new

  • Cleaner floating toolbar. One consistent icon style, plus labels under each icon in the horizontal toolbar, so you can tell what each button does at a glance. Filter, period comparison, and date drill now live under one “Filter & controls” button.
  • Keyboard shortcuts for adding blocks. Hover any button to see its shortcut, or just press the key:
    • V visualization
    • T text
    • F filter, P period comparison, D date drill
    • A AI block
    • L block library (the search box is ready, so start typing right away)
  • Smoother zoom. Mouse-wheel zoom is faster and smoother. The canvas now leaves room below your dashboard, so the toolbar doesn’t cover your content. Scrolling inside a modal also no longer zooms the canvas behind it.

Coming next

  • The toolbar gets out of your way while you drag blocks near it.
  • Canvas settings move next to the zoom controls.
  • A cleaner dashboard header and tabs.

Open any dashboard in edit mode to try it out. Let us know what you think!
