An exciting capability is coming to Canvas Dashboard - Mobile-Friendly Layout
This feature enables your dashboards to automatically adapt and look great across all devices, from desktop to mobile, without creating separate dashboards.

The Problem

While Canvas Dashboard offers great flexibility in designing custom layouts, making these dashboards work well across different screen sizes has been challenging. Creating and maintaining separate versions for desktop and mobile is time-consuming and inefficient.

The Solution

Canvas Dashboard will have three flexible display modes for mobile devices:

  • Auto Mode: Automatically optimizes your dashboard layout for mobile viewing
  • Manual Mode: Create custom mobile layouts with more control over block positioning and sizing
  • None: Maintain the desktop layout across all devices

Launched: Mobile-friendly Layout for Canvas Dashboard :calling:

Canvas dashboard can automatically adjust for different screen sizes across desktop and mobile devices.

The mobile layout follows a single-column structure, stacking blocks vertically.
There are three mobile layout modes:

  • Auto (Default) – The mobile layout mirrors the desktop version, arranging blocks left to right, top to bottom. Changes in the desktop layout automatically reflect on mobile.
  • Manual – Customize the mobile layout independently. You can:
    • Rearrange blocks
    • Hide specific blocks
    • Modify block height
  • None – The desktop layout remains unchanged on all devices.
