If you’ve used block filters, date drill, or breakdown changes on a widget, you’ve probably run into this: you export the chart, and the exported data ignores everything you just set up - reverting to the original unmodified state.
That’s going away.
Now, when you export a widget, the export will reflect exactly what’s on screen - your active filters, your date drill range, your breakdown dimension. Both data exports (CSV/Excel) and image exports are covered.
No UI changes - same export button, correct output.
What’s captured in the export:
- Block-level filters
- Date drill
- Breakdown dimensions
This applies to widget exports in canvas dashboard. Export in explore modal are unaffected (they already work correctly). As new ad-hoc interaction types ship, those will be captured too.
