I’ve connected our SQL Server database with Holistics and created a query model using my script, similar to how I used to work with MySQL. The query executed successfully, and I was able to retrieve the correct data.
Please note that no changes were made to the query. I only executed it once to create the model, and then ran it again from the model view, which resulted in the error.
I also tested the query in my local SQL Server editor, and it works perfectly without any issues.
Additionally, I created a dataset and attempted to build a new report, but encountered the same error.
As a test, I removed the WITH statement from the script, and everything worked fine afterward.
This is a blocker for me, as I need to use SQL Server features such as WITH (CTEs) in my queries.
Could you please investigate this issue as soon as possible?
There is indeed a limitation with SQL Server WITH clause in subqueries (Query Models) that our engineering team need to revise.
