Hey all, we’re in the process of switching our data sources from BigQuery to Athena. Pretty much migrated all of our dashboards to the new data source so we’re just about ready to switch off and delete the BigQuery data source in Holistics. However, we want to give our users an opportunity to shout before we do anything permanent. So I guess what we want to do is kind of hide or archive the dashboards for a short while so that if suddenly someone realises they need it we have a chance to rebuild with the new data source. Most of these dashboards are legacy so not saved as code in Github.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to do this? Couple of things we thought about:
- Revoking access to the specific “To be deleted” folder. This doesn’t work for us though because quite a few of our users are Analyst and so they do have access to everything.
- Moving the entire “To be deleted” folder to my own personal archive. This could work, but it would be pretty painful having to copy each dashboard one by one (no option to move in bulk, can only copy one at a time). Also not ideal if I get hit by a bus/win the lottery.
Are there any other options for this?
