When I use pivot table and export the data, I would need a feature of ‘duplicated rows’. Ideally, it could be included in ‘Styles → Aggregation’ and open for users to turn on.
Thanks for reaching out to us, @Siyan_Guo!
I’m not entirely clear about what you meant by “allow duplicated rows for pivot table” yet.
Could you help elaborate your use case, as well as the desired outcome?
Could it fall into one of these scenarios?
- You want a normal table view with visual grouping of identical categories
- Your pivot table has visually identical Row Field values with different IDs, which you want to keep separate.
Looking forward to it. I’d help me understand and assist you better.
Hi Vu,
Below is a screenshot of what I hope to have in Holistics.
Also, I attached a screenshot of where to add the feature as a reference.
Ah, I see. Thanks @Siyan_Guo for clarifying.
So here is the current Pivot Table in Holistics, along with its export.
You would like an option similar to the “Repeat row labels” in Excel, which would make the pivot look like this?
Duly noted! I’ll add this to our product backlog for future consideration.
In the mean time, may I ask how important is this option to you? Or how often do you need to use it?
Also, does it make sense to use Table visualization instead, so it’d look like the 3rd image I shared above?
Looking forward to your reply. Cheers!
Thank you Vu, the Table visualization fulfill my needs completely.
