Hi community!
Odysseus spent ten years lost at sea on the way home; software can make you feel very much the same. This month we focused on fewer detours between you and where you’re headed:
Reporting
-
Date drill enhancement:
- Widgets without a relevant date dimension are now automatically disabled, with a tooltip explaining why. “Select all” now skips unsupported widgets automatically.
- Models without a date dimension now show a clear message instead of appearing blank.
-
Custom chart tooltips now display correctly in expanded view.
-
Consistent chart color picker width: The chart color picker now keeps a consistent width and opens to the right, keeping field settings visible while configuring colors.
Development
-
Updated the Query model data source section: Quickly switch data sources or edit custom SQL, with more consistent buttons and icons across model types.
-
Models list now loads correctly on first open.
-
Relationship types can be changed again: Fixed a bug that prevented editing an existing relationship’s type.
General UX & UI enhancements
-
Cleaner Explore layout on fresh open: The Explore empty state now combines field selection and AI into a single starting point, making it easier to begin exploring data.
-
Responsive & collapsible Explore panels: Explore panels are now responsive and collapsible, with updated minimum widths and a compact chart selector.
-
Date picker enhancements: The date picker now lets you select an entire week with a single click.
-
SSO and Forgot Password pages with updated layouts and styling for a more polished first impression.
-
Inviting a previously deleted user: Inviting a previously deleted user now shows a clear message with a direct link to restore the account.
-
Existing company sign-ups: Trial sign-ups from existing companies now receive clearer guidance on joining their organization’s account or contacting an admin.
-
3.0 Onboarding Tutorials modal layout: Fixed the layout of the Holistics 3.0 onboarding tutorial modal.
Odysseus reached Ithaca through course corrections, guidance along the way, and a lot of hard-won lessons. That’s roughly our approach to polish too, with your feedback as the compass so keep it coming. See you next month with more updates! ![]()
